This particular rifle’s bore condition is excellent, finish shows slight wear form handling at the butt end of the stock, and a small amount of patina on the charging handle, safety lever pull ring, butt plate, and magazine. The NRA grading for this rifle would be “very good” condition. Sling and muzzle cover are included. Please refer to photos for markings, and overall state. These are photos of the rifle you are buying. Not all markings/wear may appear in photos.

The Schmidt-Rubin 1911 rifle is an improved version of the 1889, with a stronger action to accommodate a more powerful version of the 7.5×55 cartridge, known as the GP11. 1911’s feature a smooth straight-pull action initiated by pulling the stainless steel charging handle with composite grips. Other features include a detachable 5 round magazine, and an improved wood stock over the original 1889 stock. The subtle improvements on this and other variants really showcase the longevity and dependability of this series of rifle, as do the condition of the rifle today.

With it’s looks, rarity, performance and pedigree, there is no question that a Swiss 1911 rifle would round out even the most avid enthusiasts collection.
