This particular rifle’s bore grade is excellent, finish is intact with light wear visible at the butt end of the stock, as well as some visible patina on the trigger guard and pull ring for the safety lever. Finish is lightly worn on the receiver and rear sight. NRA grading criteria would be “very good” condition. This elegant rifle features a stock made from rich, polished wood with a robust mahogany-like color. Sling is included. The Schmidt-Rubin model 1889 is a musket length, straight-pull bolt action infantryman rifle and the patriarch of the Schmidt-Rubin series of rifles. Chambered in the first version of the 7.5×55 Swiss cartridge (known as GP90), The 1889 Features include steel charging handle with composite knobs, and a 12 round fixed magazine. While there are some visible wear marks from storage and use, the condition of this rifle is very good for its age (which is well over 100 years!)
