This is great ammo. My can came in a sealed tin with very minor surface rust in the bottom of the can. The ammo is pristine. Each bandolier pocket has to chargers with 5 rounds each. I used my Garmin Xero at the range and recorded an average velocity of 2,458 and a STD Deviation of 27.1 fps. Not bad for 50+ year old ammo. No duds or hang fires with what I shot. Brass is solid for reloading.

Here's my range report regarding this ammunition: My experience with the current batch of HXP, all 1971 dated and from the same bandolier: I shot several 100 yard 5 shot groups through 3 different rifles yesterday, a Fulton Regulated BSA No.1 Mk III, a Home Guard Ross MkIII, and a Long Branch to see how accurate the ammunition was and to check velocities. Temperature was 83 F., humidity 63%, and elevation 0f 594' asl. Wind was 7-8 mph from 12 o'clock. Through the BSA 5 shots gave an average velocity of 2484.9 fps, std dev 9.9 and 3 MOA. Through the Long Branch 5 shots gave an average velocity of 2505 fps std dev 39.5! (more on this later) and 4 MOA caused by the old ammunition, I believe. Through the Ross 7 shots gave an average velocity of 2564.8 fps and a std dev of 16.6 and 2 MOA. Higher velocities were expected through the Ross's 30 1/2" barrel but the average velocity from the the other rifle's barrels was higher than expected. These are all rifles that regularly shoot 1 to 1 1/2 MOA with handloads. With the Long Branch the extreme spread of the ammunition's velocities was 105.2 fps and a pierced, flattened primer was among the cases, perhaps caused by excessive pressure? I've fired the Long Branch hundreds of times without this problem previously. The individual velocities of the 5 shots were: 2522.5 2520.1 2561.8 2463.8 2456.6 My concern is that the old ammo is creating pressure excursions from deteriorating powder possibly? Through the decades of shooting .303 British ammunition and rifles I've experience both incipient and actual head separations from handloads but never a pierced primer. I'm considering only using this ammunition in rifles with a strong lock up like the Ross or a Patt. 14 I own.

My spam can was open upon arrival, but the rounds were not overly tarnished for being 52 years old. All shot fine without deviation beyond normal surplus accuracy. Great paper punching ammo. All rounds were boxer primed with military stakes on the primers. After wet tumbling they came out beautiful with no cracked necks.

Was told this is good ammo and I would agree. I have shot about 80 rds with no issue from the ammo itself. Had a handful with green residue that wiped off fine but sire sure what it is. I have 2 cans as of now and may fetch 2 or 3 more for hard times. I repacked mine in an old box for easy access.

After handwashing some of the film off the cartridges they extracted fine. This is good ammo, I ordered 3 cans. 1 can having a variety of old chargers. The other two had older bandoliers and chargers. Some bandoliers were dated 44-49. Overall, this is good ammo. Sadly, they increased the price on this by about $43 so I won’t probably buy anymore.

Good ammo. I shot 50 rounds of HXP from a couple of my No. 1, Mk III rifles. The only minor issue was an occasional sticky cartridge forcing me to pull back a bit harder on the bolt. Other than that , it shot fine.

Received ammo and tested a few rounds recently through both my P14 and No. 1 Mk. 3. Each rifle had one round that failed to fire on first attempt but primer did ignite on second tries. Very accurate and overall pleased with performance. Will keep on eye to see if I have any others rounds with hard primers.

Price was reasonable......about as inexpensive as you can find 303 nowadays. Sales Tax is an extra cost. It was shipped the same day or next morning and got here real fast. Have not opened the can yet, but the can is fully intact so I am expecting no problems. Might get some more to get "the 10% off on my next purchase".

Purchased 4 cans of this .303 ammo in 3 seperate orders. The first two cans arrived without issue, After receiving the ammo and seeing the condition, I decided to order two more cans. The third order of 2 cans was shipped in good order via FedEx but was returned to Max Arms because FE has a bug up its a$$ about shipping ammo. Hmmm…something to think about for the future. Ammo was then shipped via UPS and received within a few days. For the price, this is the best deal going for non-corrosive, boxer primed, reloadable .303 ammo. And add in the 60 charger clips included in each can, this is a no brainer! Get it while its hot!

This is the best .303 surplus out there. I bought 2 cans and the ammo is in good shape. Myself and others have had issues with some of the rounds being difficult to extract. I think there is some kind of lacquer creating the problem when the case heats up from firing. Someone reported cleaning the rounds and it resolved the problem. I am doing that myself and expect it the ammo to run flawless after. Great ammo. Highly recommend.

Great ammo greek 303 is some of the best out there. This stuff appears to be packed on used surplus clips which is neat. My can had a few variations in clip design. Will order another can.

Brass is in great shape. However, I think I got a batch that is hot. It was hard to extract these out of my No4. It’s not the rifle as I tested out 3 different Lee Enfields I own with this stuff and it was hard to extract on all three Enfields I tested with.

Cans arrived sealed and in good condition. Ammunition inside was also free of any corrosion. Chargers are obviously re-used and have very rough Parkerizing on them which can be scrubbed off with a little effort, making them much more useful. Have only fired 100 rounds so far but all functional and consistent accuracy.

Greek HXP is about as good as you can get when it comes to 303 Brit that is reloadable. The can was in decent shape but the ammo, clips and bandoliers was in even better shape. This is one of the best package deals on 303 that you can get these days.

Condition is ok. I received one can that was bent and open. These cans are not resealable like US cans, more like a lightweight spam can. Ammo inside is in good shape, no corrosion.

I ordered 2 cans of this ammo. The cans were sealed, and all the rounds I received looked good. They were packed in 5 round stripper clips which is a value in itself. They were then packed into sturdily made cloth bandoliers that were of much higher quality than the cheap cloth bandoliers coming out of the middle east. They are certainly reloadable and reusable. I finally had a chance to test a few rounds at the range on an Enfield 25 yard sight in target. The rounds grouped nicely. They were actually touching and grouped tighter than some MEN-83 I tested also. I don't reload, but whoever gets my brass will appreciate the fact they are boxer primed. I liked it so much, I just placed an order for 2 more cans as once it dries up I'm certain it will be quite a while before it shows up again. Assuming I receive something similar, I was very happy with this ammo. Also nice to shoot surplus ammo that doesn't require me to immediately come home and clean because it's corrosive.

I ordered three cans of this ammo now, and it all arrived extremely fast (within a week), and the spam cans are sealed NOS as advertised. If you add the cost of original stripper clips plus the fact that HXP Greek ammo has traditionally been some of the finest shooting surplus ammunition available, this ammo is a no-brainer buy-it-now purchase. Nearest new mfg PPU ammunition is still about 10cpr more expensive, and you still have to pay for shipping. I'll leave another review once I get to test this ammunition out in my No.1 MkIII's & No.4 Mk1's.

Ammo in good shape. The brass surface is little dry, neck and shoulder area in good shape. I have experience difficulties on open one of the spam can. The bandolier and clips are very good plus
